Therapeutic Tarot Counselling is NOT for fortune-telling or divination. The Tarot cards are a powerful tool to initiate and stimulate the counselling process. As a result, they could intensify the insight and the self-reflection process too. Therefore, Therapeutic Tarot Counselling is AGE RESTRICTED to adults who are aged 25 years and older ONLY. Proof of age will be required if there is any doubt.

Therapeutic Tarot Counselling offers a fresh, dynamic, bold and contemporary approach to helping that can enable you to build change into your life in the shortest possible time. The Tarot cards can provide an accurate representation of your present emotional, psychological, and spiritual state. They, therefore, can help you open a channel to understanding Self, in a new way, providing a framework for self-reflection and growth. 


Working directly with Tarot energy, the therapeutic session will combine traditional and spiritual methods to enable you to gain clarity of insight in an empowering, powerful, and deeply unique body, spirit, mind, healing session. 


From the moment you step into the therapeutic healing room, you will be actively interacting with the Tarot cards. You will handle, shuffle, spread and speak with the cards yourself, working directly with Tarot energy. 


Throughout the therapeutic session, you will be prompted to interpret the cards for your own unique insight. Your openness, honesty, reflections, and intuitions are vital elements in the therapeutic process.



Therapeutic Tarot Counselling is specifically designed as a single session. Following your initial session, a 3-month period of self-reflection is undertaken. This is to allow the insight, the learning, and the Tarot energy, gained throughout the therapeutic session, to manifest itself and come to fruition.


The insights, intuitions and meanings of each individual session will last anywhere from 3 to 9 months (to be determined at each session). Thus, to enable reflection and growth from each individual session, therapeutic Tarot counselling sessions will not be undertaken by the same person more than once every 3 months (minimum). If, after the 3-month period of reflection, you feel you would like another therapeutic Tarot counselling session, please feel free to get in touch and book another session.

Short-term, time-limited:  a maximum of 12 sessions of therapeutic bodymind counselling, followed by a 3-month period of self-reflection 

Fees:  £70 per 60 minutes session  /  £125 per 90 minutes session



How are you feeling…? A simple enough question… or is it? Do you feel at peace with your Self, your world, and the world around you? Do you feel on edge, slightly panicked, like you want to run from something but you don’t know what? Do you feel flat, closed down, paralysed, unable to move, wanting to curl up under the duvet and not come out?


Our body can give us multiple clues as to how we are truly feeling on an emotional and psychological level. Our thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs can be visible to us, and others, through our body’s physical functioning – through our facial expressions, our posture, our body language, our everyday movements, our voice and speech, and how we connect to others. 


A severely distressing event can cause psychological trauma which, in turn, can cause damage to our body’s physiology. These events / traumas can disrupt the autonomic nervous system leading to issues such as: bodily pain; digestive disorders; hormonal imbalances; sexual dysfunction; immune system dysfunction, medically unexplained symptoms (MUS); anxiety; burnout; primary / secondary traumatic stress; depression, and suicidal thoughts. 


When we feel this way, it is the body’s way of communicating its upset and distress, and we must listen closely, attending to those messages with care, love, and compassion. It is only then that we can reawaken, revitalise and renew our Self, our own beautiful world, and the wonderful world around us, living the life we truly want for ourself with inner peace and delight. 


In essence, therapeutic bodymind counselling helps you to focus on reconnecting you with your Self and with your inner compass – guiding you to feel with your body, rather than feel with your mind. So, with that in mind, the goal of therapeutic bodymind counselling is to help you to somatic awareness, by tapping into the sensations of energy flowing through your body, utilising the body’s innate intelligence, encouraging body, spirit, mind to work together to heal your whole being.


Depending on your body's unique preferences, a wide variety of tools can be utilised to help free your body from the stress and pain that prevents you from fully engaging in your life, including: (synchronised) breathing techniques; relaxation techniques; meditation; sitting in healing and connected quietness; visualisations; play; voice work; and movement. If appropriate to your body’s preference, and with consent, therapeutic affective touch techniques, such as: the laying of hands; hand holding; hand massage / reflexology; fully-clothed body reflexology; fully-clothed back massage / back rubs; fully-clothed whole body massage, may also be employed within the session.


As a guide, therapeutic bodymind counselling can help if you are experiencing any of the following: anxiety; depression; bereavement / traumatic bereavement; grief; loss; faith / spirituality; intimacy / relationships; peri/menopause; addictions; suicidal feelings / thoughts; primary / secondary traumatic stress (PTSD/STSD) / anger; shame; lack of assertiveness; lack of self-esteem; lack of self-confidence; lack of self-respect; life transitions / midlife change. It can also help with inchoate issues such as medically unexplained symptoms (MUS); bodily pain / joint aches and pains; digestive disorders; hormonal imbalances; and immune system dysfunction. 


Therapeutic bodymind counselling is uniquely integrated, working with your whole being – the spiritual; emotional; psychological; intellectual, and physical – for a genuinely robust and truly beautiful symbiotic experience. It encourages body, spirit and mind to work together for a true homeostasis.



What to Expect 


First Step:  Initial Contact 

Initial phone call for an informal chat, where you can ask questions. A session can be booked for the following day (no same day sessions), or at a time which is convenient to you. Please read the Terms and Conditions (see Contact / Resources). 


Once payment has been received, you will be sent a text or email with confirmation of the day and time of your session, and the contact address.


Second Step:  Therapeutic Bodymind Counselling Session

Upon arrival, the practitioner will talk through a Contract of Work, and a Personal / Medical Information Form, both of which need to be read, completed, and signed before the session begins. This is an important part of the therapeutic process and lays the ground work for the rest of the session. The session will take place, and will last up to 60 minutes.

  

Third Step:  Post-Session

Therapeutic bodymind counselling can be undertaken on a weekly, fortnightly, or even monthly basis, depending on your needs. Every person is different, however, and at the beginning of your therapeutic journey, if you feel that you require more than one session per week, that is absolutely fine, and can easily be accommodated. 


As you grow in confidence, and as you experience, witness, and feel the change you desire happening in real-time through your everyday life, you may want to extend the time between your sessions. Therapeutic bodymind counselling is accessible and flexible to your needs in your present moment.



Therapeutic bodymind counselling is undertaken in 12-week blocks, booking one session at-a-time. After the initial 12 sessions, a 3-month period of self-reflection is undertaken. After that self-reflection period, if you feel you would like to undertake more therapeutic bodymind counselling sessions, you can call me and book more sessions.
